A busload of passengers becomes stranded near an old mansion in the woods which has been turned into a convent in upstate New York. The Reverend Mother provides them lodging for the night, unaware that one of them is a serial killer known as "The Mary Murderer", whose victims are all named Mary. Of course, all of the nuns at the convent are named Mary, as are two of the women on the bus. This light-hearted mystery-comedy shows us the human side of nuns as they attempt to stay one side ahead of the killer.
