FOR BETTER, Eric Coble’s romantic comedy, deals with the effects of electronic communications on romance,
intimate relationships and marriage. All of the characters communicate by cell phone. Invitations to the wedding,
the selection of a dress, the settling of former romances, and culminations of sibling rivalries are carried out
electronically (often with multiple characters conversing at once, conversations overlapping to hilarious effect).
Only in the final zany scene are all the characters together in one location — to perform the wedding (without the groom).
Appearing in the play are Valerie Woods (Karen), Mary Ellen Sunseri (Lizzie), Daphne Lewis (Francine),
Casey Gunn (Michael), Aaron David Spiegel (Stuart) and Charles Wilson (Wally). The play is directed by
Sandy Wilson, and is assisted by Renee Ryals and runs for three consecutive weekends.
