THE MAN OF LA MANCHA

April 6th, 2012

THE MAN OF LA MANCHA, the timeless classic of musical drama based on Miguel de Cervantes’ 17th century classic novel, Don Quixote, opens May 4th for three weekends.  Reservations are strongly recommended, so call 265-3226 now!

Inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’s 27th century masterpiece, Don Quixote, this musical tells the story of the “mad” knight, Don Quixote, as a play within a play, performed by Cervantes and his fellow prisoners as he awaits a hearing with the Spanish Inquisition. It’s a poignant story of a dying old man whose impossible dream takes over his mind. His dream is Everyman’s dream. His tilting at windmills is Everyman’s great adventure. Somehow, the footlights disappear, time is telescoped and the “Man of La Mancha” speaks for humankind.

Almost Maine!

February 20th, 2012

ALMOST, MAINE, by John Cariani, opens Feb.10th and features David Pohler, Olivia Van Kley, Nicole Maulden, Steve Lewis, Emily Elegado, Kelton R. Pullen, Jason Blanks and Doug Gilliland. These talented actors, directed by Ray H. Stanley, portray 19 characters in delightful vignets about falling in and out of love in the mythical remote town in Maine.

The Nerd opens March 16th!

February 20th, 2012

A comedy by Larry Shue This extraordinarily inventive, side-splitting comedy centers on the hilarious dilemma of a young architect who is visited on the night of his 34th birthday by a man he’s never met, but who saved his life in Vietnam. The visitor turns out to be an incredibly inept, hopelessly stupid “nerd” – a bumbling oaf with no social sense, little intelligence and less tact. When he outstays his welcome with a vengeance, it leads to one uproarious incident after another for the architect and his current friends. “A spring tonic of side-bruising laughter”.

Auditions for The Nerd

January 5th, 2012

AUDITIONS FOR “THE NERD”  will be held on Jan 9th & 10th at 7:00pm for the side-splitting comedy, THE NERD, directed by Bunnie Hibbard and Harley Benner.  Roles are available for four males aged 30-45, one young male aged 7-11, and two women between 30-43 years of age.  The production will open on March 16th for three weekends.

“For Better” Opens Jan 6th For Three Weekends

December 29th, 2011

FOR BETTER, Eric Coble’s romantic comedy, deals with the effects of electronic communications on romance,
intimate relationships and marriage. All of the characters communicate by cell phone.  Invitations to the wedding,
the selection of a dress, the settling of former romances, and culminations of sibling rivalries are carried out
electronically (often with multiple characters conversing at once, conversations overlapping to hilarious effect).
Only in the final zany scene are all the characters together in one location — to perform the wedding (without the groom).
Appearing in the play are Valerie Woods (Karen), Mary Ellen Sunseri (Lizzie), Daphne Lewis (Francine),
Casey Gunn (Michael), Aaron David Spiegel (Stuart) and Charles Wilson (Wally).  The play is directed by
Sandy Wilson, and is assisted by Renee Ryals and runs for three consecutive weekends.
